Welcome to Party with the Pou’s. The name actually comes from our wedding hashtag and if you know me (or our family), then you know that if there’s anything I truly believe in, it’s life is meant to be celebrated.
This blog is something that I’ve wanted to create for a long time. I struggled a lot with personal identity after kids. I went from a career-driven media and events girl to a stay at home mom, and while I wouldn’t change it for the world – I needed a creative outlet.
I had worked as on-air host, a writer and producer, a hospitality marketing and event planner and yet, I wasn’t using any of that in my life anymore…except for maybe all those parties I would plan for my own kids.
And so, I ended up here – an inspo and lifestyle blog about everything and I’m sharing that with all of you. From becoming a mom and adjusting to my new life, to renovating and decorating a new home, to that deep love of hospitality and travel my husband and I share and how we’ve still made travel happen even with small children, to always finding a way to keep my love for events alive through my party ideas – even if I’m no longer “working.”
I hope it inspires you, provides some creative relief (if that’s your thing) or makes your life easier, in case you can find “exactly what you were looking for” or an easy “how to” in one of my posts.
